All parents and caregivers are welcome to join CARE Dallas at a Red Ribbon Week Parent Presentation on Raising Resilient Kids on Tuesday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. We will gather at Saint Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas and hear from Miki Johnston, a board certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
Fostering resilience is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give a child. Resilience, simply put, is one’s ability to take lemons and make lemonade. This presentation outlines techniques parents can use to help their children face adversity, manage anxiety, cope with stress, and maximize self-worth. With a resilient mindset, our children can have optimal success and overall happiness.
Miki is a dedicated volunteer and has served on many boards in Dallas. For the past 8 years, she has been an active member of the Child and Family Guidance Centers Board of Directors. She also proudly serves on the Highland Park Independent School District Student Health Advisory Committee.
This is a free event, but we would love to know you will be attending.
